Doodle Through Lunch with Cards - April 2007

This is my first attempt at an altered lunch tin. I think it turned out okay but hope that my future attempts will turn out better. It is a little rough. I also am not a huge fan of the color combo of this petals & paisleys designer paper, just a personal thing though since I just don't like pink that much. I gave the tin to my friend with the cards she ordered. I hope she likes it.

LUNCH TIN RECIPE:
Stamps: That's Nice, Doodle This, Best Friends Alphabet
Paper: Petals & Paisley Designer Paper, Taken with Teal, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Ink: Rose Red, Taken with Teal, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Lunch Tin, Ribbon
Techniques: Alter Tin
Difficulty (1-Easy 5-Advanced): 2

March Technique Class - 2007

We made this altered gift card tin and mini accordian scrapbook at the March Technique Class. Sticking with my inability to make decisions on what pictures to include and exclude on even the most simple scrapbook related items this album is not completed yet either.

RECIPE FOR TIN & SCRAPBOOK:
Stamps: Doodle This, Warm Words, So Very, Doodle That
Paper: Various SU Papers
Ink: Various SU Inks
Accessories: Gift Card Tin, Crystal Effects, Markers, Blender, Ribbon
Techniques: Altered Tin, Mini Accordian Scrapbook

Along with the altered gift card tin and mini accordian scrapbook we also made two cards. The first one is posted here with its recipe but the second one I can not share online because my upline who designed the card submitted it for a challenge. If she wins the challenge the card could be published so she asked us not to share it. I'm sure since since I'm now writing this post several months later it might be okay but I am not going to risk upsetting her so I'm going to keep it off my blog and out of SCS still until she tells me otherwise. For the non-posted card we used the polished stone method. I have heard many people say they hate that technique though I'm not sure why because I found it to be fairly easy and the results were stunning. I wasn't thrilled with the way mine looked exactly but I could tell if I hadn't done such a quick and sort of sloppy job with the metallic ink that it could have been a lot better.
CARD RECIPE #1:
Stamps: Weathered
Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Au Chocolate
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Oval Punches, Circle Punch, Tab Punch
Techniques: Punches Galore
Difficulty (1-Easy 5-Advanced): 1

CD/DVD Photo Tins - April 2007

I had made a magnet photo frame in a technique's class and when I went to find more the metal stands that we used I couldn't find any of them anywhere. I've searched high and low and decided that my dear friend who wanted me to make 10 of them for her would just have to settle on something I could find plenty of ... metal cd tins. I got a bunch from eBay for really cheap and this is the first one I came up with. She picked the color combo... saying she wanted some of them pink and orange and some of the green and purple but otherwise for me to be creative.

ORANGE & PINK TIN RECIPE:
Stamps: Butterfly of Happiness
Paper: Four Seasons, Regal Rose
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Rose Grosgrain Ribbon, Cd Tin, 3/4" circle punch, 1/2" Round Magnets w/adhesive Techniques: Altered Tin
Difficulty (1-Easy 5-Advanced): 2: Pretty Easy Once you get the paper measured correctly

FISHY TIN RECIPE:
Stamps: Fishy Friends, Very Punny

Accessories: Magnets, Circle Punch, Hunter Ribbon, Sage Ribbon

PURPLE & GREEN TIN RECIPE:
